Tully Young - Managing Director
B.A (Economics, Politics)

Tully has over 16 years of experience working in recruitment, work-force management and the on-hire industry. To date Tully has spent his entire career working with Australian businesses that have long term trade skills shortages and or productivity issues based around skills.

 

Having graduated from La Trobe University BA (Eco, Politics) in 1995, Tully then joined SYC Corp Industrial Relations consultancy specialising in the Australian resources sector. Tully went on to join Best Practice Services Pty Ltd (a licensee of Labour Force Australia Pty Ltd) for 2 years in an Operations role (whilst working for a number of industry mentors at the time). In 1997, Tully became a key shareholder and the National Sales Manager for the industrial labour hire business; Edge People Power Pty Ltd. 

 

In 2001 Tully founded the specialist workforce solutions business - Blue Tongue. With a team of professionals that share Tully’s passion for being experts in their field and delivering innovative solutions in areas where long term technical skills shortage exist for employers, Tully as the Managing Director has achieved business growth of Blue Tongue from a start-up operation to achieving $20 million in sales in 2012. Over the last 16 years Tully has built up a reputation as an expert in pioneering, designing and executing unique skilled labour management projects with many leading heavy industrial, and resources organisations around the country.

Kathy Karasavidis - Commercial Manager
B.Ec.(Accounting), CPA

Joining the Blue Tongue Team in 2009, Kathy has managed the financial and commercial aspects of the organisation by scoping, formulating and implementing systems to increase efficiencies in the company’s recruitment and business processes.

 

Kathy spearheaded the procurement of Blue Tongue’s unique and finely integrated mix of Database, Payroll, Finance and Commercial systems to ensure the mechanics of the business’ commercial and operational structures are optimal. Kathy’s objective for these processes is to ensure solid support the company’s distinguished position as a leading player in the maintenance solutions field.

 

Kathy is CPA qualified and holds a Bachelor of Economics with over twenty years’ experience across industries such as Information Technology, and consulting to the Architecture and Petroleum industries.

Paul Whittle - Client Relationship Manager

Paul has an extensive background spanning over 11 years across a wide range of Recruitment Services.  His career has been focused on providing workforce solutions to clients and industry groups through local and international recruitment and local, Indigenous and international training programs.  Paul has 18 years proven management experience across a variety of industry sectors and is passionate about integrating change and actively developing people, standards, policies and procedures.  His business acumen is both hands on and professional based on maintaining an unwavering commitment to corporate ethics and strategic goals.


Paul’s main objective is to educate industry on Blue Tongue’s extensive range of innovative workforce solutions and partner with clients to provide them with a long term, stable and engaged skilled workforce.  



Janet Angelkoska - Payroll Manager

Joining the Blue Tongue team at the beginning of 2013, Janet has over 20 years of payroll experience. Janet has a demonstrated ability to successfully deliver a wide range of high level payroll functions. Janet is very diligent and meticulous and plays a very important role coordinating the end to end payroll function in the business.

 

David Blizzard - Manager - Global Talent Supply

Prior to joining Blue Tongue in 2018, David was the General Manager of UltimateSkills which specialized in the recruitment of Skilled Labour from the Philippines for to Australian clients. Under David’s Management UltimateSkills grew into an International Business with offices in Singapore, The Philippines, The UK and Canada. Partnering with companies the likes of Cummins, Rio Tinto, JLG, Coates and Austal, David was a specialist in the sourcing and delivery of Technical Trades and Engineers. Since leaving UltimateSkills David has worked in various technical labour hire and medical services companies and been engaged on a consulting basis to deliver BPO and recruitment programs in the Philippines.

Candace James – Recruitment Consultant
Bachelor of Commerce – Development & Valuation

Candace joined Blue Tongue in 2017 with five years’ experience recruiting for the mining sector. She studied a Bachelor of Commerce, focusing on macroeconomics, which has advanced her interest in the skills shortage in WA. This interest has aided Candace with both internal and external recruitment for Blue Tongue, Red Wind and Clients. Her passion for the mining sector and client development has allowed her to create relationships in all aspect of the business including shaping the company culture around Blue Tongue creating a positive and vibrant work environment for all Employees.

Megan Leonard – Payroll/HR Coordinator
Bachelor of Business – Human Resources

Megan, who joined Blue Tongue in 2018 as a payroll and HR Coordinator, is a graduate from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resources. She has previously worked in Denver, Colorado with a small engineering firm where she gained experience in HR, payroll and marketing, as well as completing an internship with the Department of Health and Human Services in Tasmania. Megan is currently involved with transitioning Blue Tongue to an integrated cloud based payroll system.

Eliza Egan – Client Services - Recruitment

Eliza has been working in the Recruitment sector for the past 14 years across both Blue and White collar recruitment. She began working with Blue Tongue in May 2010 as a Candidate Manager successfully sourcing candidates across Australia and overseas for both internal and our external clients, working across a range of various professions and industries. She has a real passion for finding the right people for the right positions and has been very instrumental in the recruitment of all our highly successful Light Vehicle to Heavy Diesel Mechanic Upskill programs over her years with Blue Tongue
