Training, an extremely important component of strategic workforce planning, is traditionally centred on up-skilling
an existing workforce or taking on new apprentices or trainees. In most instances, offthe-shelf training is utilised and the selection of employees to be trained is on a needs basis without any strategic focus on how to maximise the training investment to improve productivity and retention. 

At Blue Tongue our training plans always have two main objectives.
