Blue Tongue awarded with a Commonwealth 457 Labour Agreement

Blue Tongue was awarded with a Commonwealth 457 Labour Agreement in late October 2011. This labour agreement allows Blue Tongue to hire and sponsor 457 Visa holders in the category of Diesel Fitter, Auto Electrician, and Fixed Plant Fitter.

The winning of this agreement was the result of a lot of hard work in lobbying to the Federal government based on Blue Tongue’s specialisation in supplying to acute areas of skills shortage for regional areas of Australia.

In having a Commonwealth 457 labour agreement, Blue Tongue will further improve on its unique skilled worker supply capability for its customers, which helps us remain as a boutique skilled work-force provider of choice to the Australian heavy maintenance industry.

 

Blue Tongue wins Critical Skills Investment Funding

Blue Tongue solidified its leadership position within mining up-skilling wining another round of Critical Skills Investment Funding. The efficiency, excellence and overall success of Blue Tongue's previous mining up-skilling program led to the latest Commonwealth approval to partner with the heavy maintenance mining industry to provide a unique trade up-skilling solution.

This Federal funding allows Blue Tongue to further invest in building unique recruitment and training programs for our heavy maintenance, mining and civil customers.

Having won Federal Government support and recognition of our efforts to provide unique and innovative skills solution to the Australia’s heavy maintenance sector is most satisfying to our team.
