Our International Recruitment Project Experience:
2012 - The team at Blue Tongue has rolled out a colossal international employment project, where we have employed, skill checked and tested, administered visa processing and 457 sponsorship and successfully settled 54 Diesel Technicians from several countries across Africa into Perth. The Diesel Technicians are working for several leading mining clients on various mine sites in Western Australia, with continual support from Blue Tongue.
2011 –Blue Tongue International Recruited and placed a large group of Mechanical Plant Fitters (fixed) from Africa – with a Tier 1 Australian mining contractor. Our client flew to Africa to interview 25 candidates Blue Tongue had presented. We are in the process of securing Visa’s for all of the selected candidates. Blue Tongue managed the entire TRA and ARTC (Australian Trade Recognition Certificate) process to ensure all workers were ready to start on a mine site when they arrived in Australia
2008 – Recruitment and placement of a large group of Mobile Mining Equipment Fitters from South Africa for a Tier 1 Australian mining contractor. A 95% retention rate has been achieved for all candidates placed. Blue Tongue managed the entire relocation and settlement process for our Client, and also managed the ARTC process for all candidates.
2007 – Global Recruitment and placement of 10 Diesel Technicians from Zimbabwe (with power generation experience) for 2 leading Heavy Engine Maintenance company’s in Australia. Blue Tongue managed the entire recruitment, settlement and post settlement process for our Client, and the Australian Trade Recognition process for all workers.
2007 – Blue Tongue supplied a large group of expert CAT equipment maintenance techs from the South American mining industry for an Australian Tier 1 mining contractor. 95% retention rate of all candidates placed with our Client (as of 2012). Blue Tongue managed the entire project and flew our Client to South America to select the candidates we presented. Blue Tongue managed ARTC (Australian Trade Recognition Certificate) for all of candidates to ensure they could start on a mine site within 2 weeks of arriving into Australia. We also handled the entire relocation and settlement process for our Client to ensure the sponsored work-force started work stress free.
2006 – A work-force of 20 Auto Mechanics from Korea were sponsored and hired full-time by Blue Tongue. There has been a 100% retention rate with average employment being 4 years. Blue Tongue has successfully sponsored 70% of these 457 workers for permanent residency in Australia
2005 – Blue Tongue sponsored and hired a work-force of 15 Panel Beaters from India, with a 95% retention rate and average employment period being 4 years. We also successfully sponsored 80% of these workers for permanent residency in Australia. Our team gained extensive knowledge of the candidates ARTC process to ensure the candidates would become permanent residence of Australia.
2005 – Blue Tongue sponsored and hired on a full time basis a work-force of 80 Diesel Fitters from Africa for the Australia heavy maintenance sector (supplied to heavy engine and civil & mining earthworks contractors around Australia). This project was unique in that Blue Tongue managed all of the employment risk and the total process from recruitment to visa management to placement into industry and on-going work-force management. 96% retention rate achieved with an average employment period for each worker being 4 years. Our team also managed the transition for all the sponsored work-force to permanent residency in Australia. This required extensive work with TRA and ARTC as all trades people require this Australian recognition, which is an area that requires very specific knowledge.
