Blue Tongue Raises $57,000 for Cancer Research
Posted: 29 Sep | Author: Taryn Campbell

On Friday September 15th, Blue Tongue supported team MACA and hosted its inaugural Cocktails for Cancer to raise much needed money for cancer research. The evening saw $57,000 raised in support of MACA Limited’s annual Ride to Conquer Cancer event, being held later in October this year. Now in its sixth year, Ride to Conquer Cancer has raised over $24.5 million towards cancer research.

Guests at Cocktails for Cancer enjoyed fine wine and food by the water in Fremantle before dancing the night away. Special guests on the night included Dr Peter Leeman the Director of The Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research, Geoff Baker the Executive Director of MACA with great live music from Russel Robertson (ex Melbourne Football Club) and Phil Cebrano (ex Kate Cebrano lead band member) who flew over from Melbourne to keep the night cranking.

Enormous thanks to our sponsors and those who generously donated to the night in order to raise research funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Blue Tongue looks forward to their continued relationship with MACA as together they work to raise money to conquer cancer.
