Blue Tongue’s 457 Sponsorship Track Record

Blue Tongue have unbeatable experience and expertise in 457 sponsorship, since 2005 we have sourced, selected, hired (as full time employees), relocated and sponsored 457 tradespeople from around the world;

2005 – Blue Tongue sponsored and hired on a full time basis a workforce of 80 diesel fitters from Africa for the Australia heavy maintenance sector (supplied to heavy engine and civil & mining earthworks contractors around Australia). This project was unique in that Blue Tongue managed all of the employment risk and the total process from recruitment to visa management to placement into industry and on-going workforce management. There was a 96% retention rate achieved with an average employment period for each worker being 4 years. The Blue Tongue team managed the entire permanent residency process for all workers in Australia, this required extensive work with TRA and ARTC (Australian Trade Recognition Certificate) - an area requiring very specific specialist knowledge.

2005 – Blue Tongue sponsored and hired a workforce of 15 panel beaters from India, with a 95% retention rate and average employment period of 4 years. The Blue Tongue team again used their expertise and specialist knowledge regarding TRA , ARTC and the PR process to ensure 80% of these workers were successfully sponsored for permanent residency in Australia .

There has been a 95% retention rate of all employees placed with the client (as of 2013). Blue Tongue managed the entire project and flew the client to South America to select the employees presented by Blue Tongue. Blue Tongue coordinated the entire relocation and settlement process for the client and managed ARTC for all employees to ensuring they could start on a mine site within 2 weeks of arriving in Australia.

2008 – Recruitment and placement of a large group of mobile mining equipment fitters from South Africa for a Tier 1 Australian mining contractor by Blue Tongue. The client flew to Africa to interview 25 employees Blue Tongue had presented while we managed  the entire TRA and ARTC (Australian Trade Recognition Certificate) process to ensure all workers were ready to start on a mine site when they arrived in Australia.

2012 - The team at Blue Tongue rolled out a colossal international employment project, where we employed, skill checked hired, and administered the entire visa processing and 457 sponsorship process to successfully settle 54 diesel technicians from several countries across Africa into Perth. The diesel technicians are working for several leading mining clients on various mine sites around Australia, with continual support from Blue Tongue.

2013 – Blue Tongue is continuing its successful sponsorship of diesel mechanics in 2013 with a goal to hire and relocate 40 heavy maintenance mechanical specialists from Africa for mining, transportation and agriculture industries.
